Brian A. Irwin is the Founder and Clinical Lead of Top Tails, specialising in canine behaviour, neurodivergent support, and canine-assisted therapeutic intervention.

Built over more than 15 years of international training and practical experience, his work combines animal psychology, behavioural rehabilitation, and structured neurodevelopmental support through the Top Tails Method.

Working alongside Monet and Pablo, Brian supports dogs, families, and neurodivergent individuals through practical behavioural work, clinical intervention, and long-term structured change.

His work spans private behaviour cases, autism support, cynophobia recovery, schools, and partnership work with organisations including Scottish Autism and Enable Scotland.

Monet and Pablo are working dogs used for co-regulation, modelling, behavioural assessment, and structured intervention. They are a core part of the Top Tails Method and support both behavioural and neurodivergent work.

Claudia

Lead Trainer

Claudia leads dog training progression, group classes, handler development, and training standards across Top Tails.

Her role is to maintain consistency, timing, and clear behavioural foundations throughout the training side of the business. She works closely with both clients and developing handlers to ensure the practical side of the Top Tails Method stays strong.

Eilidh

Walking Coordinator, Trainer, Neurodivergent Support

Eilidh supports Top Tails across dog training, neurodivergent support sessions, and walking coordination.

Her role includes practical client work, structured support within clinic sessions, and coordination of the dog walking side of operations. She is progressing through both the training and clinic pathways, building hands-on experience in behavioural work, canine-assisted support, and client management.

Her focus is on consistency, observation, and applying the Top Tails Method in real working environments.

Trainer

Kirsten supports behavioural progression, practical dog training, and client consistency across the training side of Top Tails.

With long-standing involvement and trusted responsibility, she provides reliable independent handling and long-term operational support within the business.

Lead Boarder

Paulina leads the boarding side of Top Tails and is responsible for maintaining structure, routine, and calm consistency for dogs in her care.

Her role ensures that dogs continue to receive the same standards of handling and behavioural consistency outside formal training sessions.
